This explains what Tonsera collects, why, and who it's shared with.

What we collect

Account details you give us — name, email, phone, business info for barbers. Booking details — service, time, and status of appointments. Basic device and usage data needed to keep the site working (like session cookies). We don't collect full card numbers; those go straight to Stripe.

How we use it

To run bookings — matching a customer's appointment to a barber's calendar, sending confirmations, and processing the associated payment. To pay barbers. To prevent fraud and no-shows. We don't use your data for advertising and we don't sell it.

Who we share it with

Stripe processes payments and payouts and receives what's needed to do that (contact and payment info). A barber sees the name, contact info, and booking details of customers who book with them — that's necessary for them to provide the service. We don't share your data with anyone else except where the law requires it.

SMS / text messages

If you give us a phone number and opt in at checkout, we'll text you appointment confirmations, reminders, and reschedule/cancellation notices. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies with your bookings. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes.

Cookies

Tonsera uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. There's no third-party ad tracking on the site.

How long we keep it

We keep account and booking records for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period after for legal, tax, and dispute purposes.

Your choices

You can update your account details from your dashboard, or ask us to delete your account and associated data — some records (like completed transactions) may need to be retained for legal or accounting reasons even after that.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data — encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and payment data handled by Stripe rather than stored on our servers.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we'll post the update here with a new date.
